On April 24, Christina and Michael Guglielmo were honored to receive the Meelia Center Humanitiarian of the Year Award by Saint Anselm College. We thank you and especially Dan Forbes for helping us save Giovanni’s Friends. One of the first New Hampshire Colleges to embrace the save Baby Giovanni cause was Saint Anselm College in Manchester, NH. Thanks to Dan Forbes and Kim Wall, the New Hampshire Campus Compact composed of over 20 colleges and universities, has joined the life saving bone marrow movement pledging to add 7000 donors to the registry. Although we found Giovanni’s match and he is doing great there are 6,000 other people each day looking for a life saving match. Save Giovanni’s Friends has recruited over 37,783 life saving donros since January of 2007, and located 59 life saving matches. In fact, a 19-year-old St A’s student is a match and, a 19-year-old Southern Maine University student matched a 1-year-old baby girl. Below is a list of colleges, universities, and schools that have held Save Giovanni’s friends bone marrow drives. To hold a drive, fundraiser, or school marketing project please contact Michael at mguglielmo@helpgiovanniguglielmo.org. Moreover, we are always looking for volunteers to help us at drives so please email us if you would like to create volunteer groops to organize and operate bone marrow drives anywhere in New England.
